Virat Kohli has bid adieu to his Test cricket. On Monday, May 12, cricket lovers woke up to the shocking news of his departure from the red-ball format, after an illustrious 14-year journey. A day later, the batting icon visited Vrindavan Dham with his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, to seek blessings from Premanand Maharaj. The couple is known for their frequent visits to the abode, seeking guidance and insights from the spiritual leader. Now, a video of their visit has been uploaded by one of the members of the ashram on X. The clip features Kohli’s first reaction since his retirement announcement.

The video opens to Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli kneeling before Premanand Maharaj, offering their respects. When the spiritual guru asks Kohli, “Prasann ho? (Are you happy?), he replies, “Ji (yes) Guru ji."

The side note read, “What was the conversation that took place between Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma with Maharaj?"

The post received much love from the fans online.

A fan expressed his gratitude to Virat Kohli for introducing him to Premanand Maharaj. He wrote, “Thank you, Virat Kohli, for introducing me to Maharaj Ji. I am really thankful to you. 3 or 4 years ago, you came here, and that post got viral. From there, I started watching Maharaj Ji and listening to his sermons. Today, I am a different person. Thank you so much once again."

“At the end… King meets his god," read a remark.

“Still Can’t Believe He Took Retirement," wrote another.

Lauding Anushka Sharma, one person commented, “Respect for Anushka Sharma. Having a supportive partner can change your life, attitude, energy and soul."

An individual noted, “Maharaj Ji’s discourses and spiritual messages deeply impact the couple, and they appear to find immense peace and satisfaction from it. The tour is not only a spiritual refuge for them, but also marks the beginning of a new life chapter for Virat."

“They are living the best way. And you got the best wife, genuinely," gushed a user.
